In preparation of aging population in Malaysia by 2030, we aim to empower the community with knowledge and skills to care and assist the elderly. We are targeting SPM leavers, diploma holders, single mothers or even retirees with compassion and strong interest in caregiving especially the elderly.

The elderly, in their advance age; may be facing a lot of age related issues rendering them incapable of being fully dependent like they used to. Diminishing physical ability, combined with chronic diseases and possibly even reduced cognitive function may contribute to their dependancy. Their own children may need assistance in caring for the raging parents since they themselves may be occupied with their career obligations or the demands of raising their own family. These elderly needs a trained and skilled ‘nanny’.
The Elderly Care Training Project by Restu Villa Care Centre shall provider the training required to acquire the skills and knowledge to care and assist the elderly.
The Elderly Care Training Project by Restu Villa Care Centre will impact the relatively low-income bracket of the community. It is mainly youths having difficulty landing a job, as well as single mothers and retirees. We look to empower these group with the skills and knowledge as well as the ability to market themselves as professional caregiver. They may be hired by nursing homes and care centres. Or they can also set up their own care business. Or even work independently as a freelance caregiver. They will get tremendous benefit with this training project. Elders & senior citizens who are dependent will also definitely benefit greatly from this project.
1) Work placement post completion of training Caregiver matching (to the elderly requiring assistance)
2) Monetize Outcome Earnings by trainee starts at RM 1200 – 1500 a month
3) Ready workforce for the companies providing care, hospitals, nursing home, care centres and home care services.
4) Equipped with business knowledge and guidance, the candidates may be able to start their own caregiving business independently or as a group/partnership/cpnsortium.
Dr. Mohamad Noor Asyik Yahya worked as a medical officer at the Ministry of Defense for 5 years until 2005. After leaving his army he served the Ministry of Health for a year and a half before he started a private clinic in Kuala Lumpur. He also graduated with a Master of Public Health degree in 2009 specializing in Occupational Health. He have a lot of experience in terms of providing treatment to the patient. He is a very committed in health care to elderly. Due to that, it will helps the community with knowledge and skills to care and assist the elderly.

Delivery of project is within four to six month to start in November to December 2018. By January 2019 the first graduates of the program will be availabel for immediate placement/engagement.
